Review moderation
Every review on The Blind Bridge is read by a human before it appears. Trust is the business.
How it works
- You submit. Your review goes into a moderation queue — it is not public yet.
- We read. A moderator checks it against our standards: is it a real product experience? Does it follow the blind-specific review criteria? Is it free of spam, abuse, and fake claims?
- It goes live — or it doesn’t. Approved reviews appear on the product page, newest first. Rejected reviews get a reason: not a real product experience, duplicate, or policy violation. You can revise and resubmit.
The review criteria
Every review must speak to what blind shoppers actually need to know:
- Screen reader compatibility — does it work with VoiceOver, TalkBack, JAWS, or NVDA?
- Solo setup — can a blind person set it up alone, with no sighted help?
- Tactile markings — can you operate it by touch?
- Sensory details — what does it sound, feel, and weigh like?
Verified owner badges
Reviews from purchases made through our buy links carry a Verified Owner badge. It means the reviewer actually bought the thing — not that we agree with them.
Report a review
Readers can flag any live review. A flagged review returns to the queue for re-moderation — no review is above re-checking.
